Lundgaard & Tranberg receives Nykredit's Architecture Award 2025
We have won the architecture award for our studio's ability to unite the human, artistic, and sustainable aspects of architecture.
In its motivation, Nykredit's Foundation writes:
“The 15 partners at Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects have managed to create a community and a way of working that consistently maintains the unquestionable quality that has characterized the firm's projects for 40 years.
They have distinguished themselves by constructing projects – such as Kannikegården in Ribe, the Museum of Danish Resistance in Copenhagen, and the Borgcenteret in Vordingborg – that take their inspiration from their surroundings and become projects that encompass something greater than ourselves.
They work with an architectural style in which aesthetics, form, function, and content are developed with a focus on the challenges of today and tomorrow, contributing to the firm's portfolio of projects of high artistic quality.”
Upon receiving the award, CEO Peter Thorsen said, among other things:
