Classic Car House – A New Museum in Kgs. Lyngby

At Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects we are collaborating with Interdan Holding A/S to create a new museum and hub for everyone with a passion for classic cars and the cultural heritage related to cars. Classic Car House will be located opposite Frilandsmuseet north of Copenhagen, an open air museum belonging to the National Museum of Denmark. At Classic Car House a museum and spaces for events will be located in the historic building of the Landbrugsmuseum (Agricultural Museum). The historic building of Virumgård will house a café.

“For a long time, it has been a dream of ours to create a place for everyone with an interest in classic cars regardless of age, gender, financial capabilities and background. It is our ambition that Classic Car House will become an audience-oriented, living hub for everyone with a passion for classic cars and the cultural heritage related to these. It is also our wish to establish a café and spaces for events like conferences, product launches and family events such as birthdays and weddings in unique surroundings,” says Anders Bruun, chairman of the board, Interdan Holding A/S

Classic Car House will also offer facilities for brand communities related to classic cars as well as a club for car enthusiasts where events can be held alongside car storage facilities in stunning settings.
