THE DANISH EMBASSY IN Tallinn

The Embassy is located on a quiet road with an exceptional view over a large park and Tallinn’s historic city centre.

The Embassy takes form as a long, narrow, three-storey building with a unique over-hanging roof, visually opening the building to its surroundings.

The building is organized with the Chancellery’s public and representative functions on the ground level, internal functions on the first level, and the ambassador’s residence on the second level.

Offices and living quarters of the residence are all oriented towards views of the park and city, while the building’s internal circulation is located to the south.

The shape of the building, materials and details refer to traditional Estonian architectural style: The facades are coated with a local lime-sandstone while the glass partitions, fixed screens and sliding shutters are made in oiled wood.
